After almost 3 years in Sydney, le me tell you my opinion about the business behind the food "world"; restaurant, fast food and co.
In a city like Sydney the opportunity to do business with food is very high, and for this reason many people improvise the craft by offering absurd places, without getting close to what they want to sell. ( I speak mostly of "Italian" restaurants where Italians do not even have the name). So in Sydney they open so many new places but so many close. Unfortunatly the overall quality of the food is not very high as well as the service, almost assembled due to the poor professionalism of the staff, I am talking about both, floor staff and chefs.
In Sydney there is not a typical food, but there are a lot of different styles that come from all over the world. Of course there are also very good places where the quality of the food is very important and follow the traditions which is the first rule.
In conclusion, the lack of style is another factor, in my opionion, very important. Almost all of their shops are made in predefined formats, and according to this is certainly not a point in favor of the right positioning of the business. The original character and imprint that "life" to the place is important, secondly only the quality and presentation of the food.
